Worm detectives
In Reception this week we all became worm detectives!
We discuss where worms live and then we used magnifying glasses to find clues of where they might have left a trace in our outdoor classroom. Some of our children looked in the flowers, some looked under the stones and some looked in the digging area. Guess how many worms we found? 1, 2, 3!
Everyone wanted to look at the worms. Some children wanted to stroke the worms. We even had some brave children who held them in their hand! We discussed how they will find their family and the children came up with some great ideas like getting on the worm bus, wriggling deep into the ground and even teleporting back to their house!
We took some pictures on the day, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
