Secret Garden!

Winterbourne children always enjoy a visit to the secret garden!

Here you can see some of the ways we look after the smaller visitors to our garden.

The pile of logs and decaying wood creates a great habitat for woodlice; and every creature needs a drink on a hot day even bees and wasps, so here is a shallow tray with water, and rocks so they can crawl out if they fall in.

Through their science lessons in the garden children learn about the cycle of life, living creatures, habitats as well as growing.

It is also often a chance to have a quiet moment observing the minibeasts which is good for everyone’s wellbeing!
