Wild Science Petting Visit!
Thank you to Wild science Ltd who visited us at school with their mobile petting zoo, we had an informative and enjoyable animal experience featuring a diverse range of animals.
We met Carlos, a crested Geko Lizard, he lives in the rainforest; interesting fact, he has sticky feet that help him hang upside down like spiderman.
Gary is a giant African Land Snail; interesting fact he has 25,000 teeth on his tongue and rubs his food into a fine mush.
We were excited to meet Jeff, a fat tailed Gerbil, interesting fact; he has a club-shaped tailed which stores fat and water, similar to a camel’s hump.
Mango is a Corn Snake, she can go days, even up to a week, without eating.
Wild science saved the best to last, we were fascinated to meet Davina, a scorpion that transforms into a striking creature, glowing a brilliant blue-green under UV light.
