Healthy Breakfast

Every morning from 8.20m you will see Miss Bravery in the carpark offering bagels to our children as part of our initiative to ensure that every child in our school starts the school day with a meal. Below is a blog with Miss Bravery explaining the reasons why our school provides this service:

'A nutritious healthy breakfast at the start of the school day supports pupils to focus and increases their ability to concentrate and access learning. As a school we wanted to ensure that all of our pupils have this opportunity, therefore we decided to take part in the National School Breakfast Programme.

Head teachers who took part in the programme over the last 3 years have reported the incredible impact eating breakfast at the start of the school day, have had on the children’s readiness to learn, behaviour, punctuality and wellbeing. We started this initiative in September 2023 and as a school, we can already see the positive affects it has had on the children.

I hope you continue to enjoy the bagels provided each day.  The staff who prepare the bagels holds a Health and Hygiene Food Certificate.

Should you require any further information regarding the National School Breakfast Programme please feel free to contact me. You can book an appointment to see me at the school's office.'
