Reception ELP:

We are excited to launch our Reception aged Enhanced Learning Provision this term.  The provision will run for a whole day, 8.45 – 3.25, in line with the mainstream Reception.

Focus will be on developing social skills, listening and attention, communicating and interacting alongside the Early Years curriculum.  The children are taught by 4 highly trained specialist SEN staff members, 1 being the provision lead.  Strategies to teaching include Makaton, Attention Autism, TEACCH®, Skill School, PRINS, now and next boards, Picture Exchange Communication System, additional visual aids and reduced language in their approach.
